A consultation is a chance to assess the overall health of the patient before treatment is carried out. This offers an insight into the possible dis-harmonies and energetic syndromes that might be present and a chance for a diagnosis to be made. The diagnosis also includes taking the pulse on both wrists and examining the tongue for signs of poor health. This is a traditional method used in China that is important in assessing the progress of a treatment and is normally retaken during and after the treatment.
